Got Art? Check Out Our Library Card Design Contest!
This fall the Sanbornton Public Library (SPL) will celebrate a key milestone in its
history and will mark the occasion with a new library card design – with a little
help from our local artists, trained and untrained!
We’re pleased to announce a library card design contest, which will run through
September 16. The contest will select two pieces of art which will be used on SPL
cards for adult and child patrons, beginning this fall.
We are seeking original drawings and photos which symbolize the library’s mission
of service in support of literacy, lifelong learning, and community. The winning
designs will be an integral part of the library’s new visual image and will be used
to promote the library on an estimated 2,000 cards over the next several years.
Anyone eligible for a library card may enter the contest in one of two categories:
children aged 12 and under for our Youth Card and all others for our Adult Card.
Entries will be displayed on the library’s web site and at the library. The winners
and honorable mentions will be announced at the end of September or in early
October, depending on the number of entries.

downloaded here.
And what is the key milestone that the library will be celebrating this fall? Stay
tuned for a momentous announcement from the library in the near future!
